May Madness Tournament Results - 1st Place Finish & Berth to AFA National Tournament

Cats,

Here was our pool schedule for May Madness May 5th & 6th weekend. Our pool was "M" and we were with the Central Missouri Crush, Eastern Missouri Force, and St. Louis Fire. Our schedule was the following:

Saturday, May 5th

9:00 am vs. St. Louis Fire on Antimi Black WON 2 - 1

12:00 pm vs. Central Missouri Crush on Antimi Black WON 2 - 0

1:30 pm vs. Eastern Missouri Force on Antimi Black TIE 1 - 1

Sunday, May 6th

12:00 pm vs. St. Louis Sluggers on Antimi Gold WON 7 - 5

1:30 pm vs. Legion of Doom (Smith) on Antimi Blue SUSPENDED 4th 5 - 1

What a good weekend! We won our pool on Saturday in spite of the fact our bats were mostly absent and we had a tie we shouldn't have had. However, that 1st place finish gave us a great draw on Sunday! We did not have to start until noon! Ashley really appreciated not having to get up TOO early after prom! Our bats came alive on Sunday, and we were in the middle of a semi-final game with the Doom, and leading 5 - 1, when the lightning and pending storms canceled the tournament. But, we definately earned our first place finish and our berth to AFA Nationals! Way to go Cats!
