St. Louis Diamond Cats

(06/22/05) - Well, we got ANOTHER 2nd Place finish! The girls played sooo hard and it was sooo hot, that it is hard to swallow this one. All we needed to do was win 1 Sunday, and we just couldn't pull it out. The girls had a great tournament, so we need to keep that first in our minds. The last 2 games just happened to be the ones we will take with us! However, the first 2 were awesome. If they keep improving like they have the last 2 weeks, and we will have accomplished our goals. We wanted a berth to Nationals, and to be better at the end of the season than when we started. The girls played hard, stayed together, and did a great job. There are teams that would love to have as many 2nds as we have this season! Maybe we will just save our first place finish for Nationals!!!!! Keep working hard and it is really coming together.
