Northville Mustangs

The Mustangs had their senior night on Friday, January 27th at Novi Ice Arena. They faced off against Grosse Pointe South for the first time this season. South attacked first with a goal off of a South powerplay early in the first. Northville responded with two goals in thirty seconds; one by Bridget Hughes and the other by Anjali Saran. The first period remained 2-1 in Northville's favor until the end. South scored in the middle of the second to tie it up 2-2. With just two minutes left in the second period, Northville began to grow tired and let in two bad goals to put South up 4-2. While Northville had numerous shots on the South goalie in the third period, the Lady Devils still managed to get one more goal by goalie LeeCee Criswell for the final score of 5-2. All in all, the Mustangs played a great game and can't wait until they meet South again for a rematch.
