Seniors honored on Senior Day..... and win over Regina.

The girls had a very special day and won the game 8-0. Catherine LaGrasso, Kelsey Goin, Ariel Magidson, Danielle Calangelo, Pilar Ming, Liz Belen and Ari Shane.
Seniors Tarasai Karega and Hilary Schreiber were honored before their last game at Wallace Ice Arena on Satuday. CK would go on to beat Northville by a score of 3-1. T picked up the third goal with the assist going to Hils. Thanks for the memories. Ariel Magidson scored the other two goals for CK and Liz Belen, Carolyn Gard and Ari Shane added assists. 
The girls started slowly, but took over the game in the second and finished strong winning 7-1. LaGrasso played great in net, and Ariel scored 5 goals to lead the Cranes to an important victory. Park and Stapleton got the other goals with assists going to Ari (2), Gard (2), Brown (2), Holland, Stapleton, Callis, Goin and Muchacho! Keep it going CK!

Saturday, February 19, will be the last time seniors Tarasai Karega and Hilary Schreiber will play at Wallace Ice Arena. CK will meet Northville High School at noon that day. Please come out and support the seniors and the rest of the team in their final home game of the season. Under their four year watch, CK's record has been an amazing 90-9-5 with three state final appearances and one state championship in 2002. Please come to the game to learn more about their contributions to the program.
It is always special when we play South. This game always means alot. The girls started out strong in the first, as did the refs with their whistles. Calls went mostly CK's way and we spent most of the first on the PP. We started the score with a 5 on 3 mad scramble in front of the net. Belen, Ariel and Pilar all shooting and Pilar finally rammed it in 1-0. Pilar scored again on the PP. Audrey won the faceoff in the GPSouth zone to Belen to Audrey to Pilar 2-0. South scored at the start of the second 2-1 but CK answered back. Carolyn took a hard shot from the point, Ariel and Schuhrke crashed the net, and Ariel hammered home the rebound 3-1. Lots more powerplays, penalty kills and excellent goaltending highlited the remainder of the game. Great win girls!
