In a hard fought, back and forth, game, the Blazers lost 5-3 to the defending state champs, Cranbrook. Scoring first for the Blazers was junior Jess Blaesser. She put in a rebound off a shot by freshman Danielle Foley. The scored remained 1-0 until the second period when Cranbrook scored two goals to take the lead. The Blazers came back to tie it up on a goal by junior Mary Beth O'Dea with an assist from senior Sara Sharp. Cranbrook would then score the next goal on a power play and added another before the period ended. Ladywood struck first in the final period on a nice shot by senior Meg MacDonell. Setting up the play were juniors Joy Troczynski and Jenna Keenan. The Blazers kept the pressure on Cranbrook but couldn't manage to get the equalizer. Cranbrook finshed the scoring with a goal late in the period. It ended a good effort from the Blazers.
