Ladywood Blazers

The Ladywood Blazers deafeated the Northville Mustangs 8-0 in the seniors last home game as a Blazer. The Blazers first goal didn't come until the 5:27 mark of the first period. Junior Mary Beth O'Dea scored with an assist from Junior Molly Zarb. Ladywood would get its second goal :37 later. Once again it was O'Dea from Zarb and junior Jess Blaesser also helped out on the goal. The second period saw Ladywood score four times. Blaesser scored twice with assists from O'Dea on the first goal and Senior Meg MacDonell on the second. Senior Katie Karabelski scored the next two with an assist from senior Sara Sharp on the first goal and Meg MacDonell and freshman Danielle Foley on the second. The third period saw both Blaesser and Karabelski scoring. It was the third goal for each. O'Dea and Zarb assisted on Blaesser's goal, while Meg MacDonell and Senior Tess Castine assisted on Karabelski's. It was a fitting way to end a festive parent's appreciation night. Karabelski and Blaesser had hat tricks, while Meg MacDonell and Zarb had playmakers. Splitting the game and earning the shutout were junior Danni St. Onge and freshman Molly Sharp.
