CITY OF CLEVELAND HEIGHTS DIVISION OF PARKS AND RECREATION         

2011-2012 CLEVELAND HEIGHTS SENIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE

LEAGUE PLAY

Open to Intermediate and Advanced Players who are at least 22 years of age by December 31, 2011 Determination of skill level (Novice, Intermediate or Advanced) will be made by the Senior Hockey Committee (Paul Tomann 216-990-5251, Mike Moore 440-585-4113, Tim Bauman 216-761-4830 and Mark Turner 216-371-9848).  

Plans are for 12 teams, in two divisions, based upon skill level.  The A Division is for A and advanced  B players, while the B Division is Intermediate players.   Each team will have from 13 to 14 skaters, plus a goalie.

Each team will play approximately 25 games, including regular season and playoffs.  Each team will play generally once per week on either Monday (both divisions), Tuesday (B Division), Wednesday (both divisions) or Thursday (A Division), although it is possible that a team will occasionally play two games in a given week.  Games times are yet to be determined, but are generally around 10:00 pm.   

PLAYERS NEED TO SIGN UP BY SEPTEMBER 13, 2011.   ALL PLAYERS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO PLAYED LAST YEAR) WHO SIGN UP AFTER SEPTEMBER 13 WILL PAY A $30 LATE FEE, AND WILL BE PLACED ON A WAIT LIST WITH NO ASSURANCE OF PLAYING IN THE LEAGUE.   

WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE SCHEDULE IN EARLY SEPTEMBER AND START THE REGULAR SEASON ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20.   

Helmets and HECC-approved face masks or half shields are required. 

The first sessions, devoted to evaluations of new players and practice for all players, are as follows:

B Division players and new players trying-out for B division            

Wednesday, September 7       10:00 – 11:30 PM                

Tuesday, September 13          10:00 – 11:30 PM       

      
A Division players and new players trying-out for A division                

Tuesday, September 6            10:00 - 11:30 PM                 

Monday, September 12          9:30 – 11:00 PM           

FEES

This year we are offering three methods of registration and payment:

1. Go to our website (www.eteamz.com/chshl) and register and pay fees by credit card online.            

2. Download the forms from the “Handouts” section of the website and mail the forms along with checks to:

3.  Download the forms from the “handouts” section of the website and bring the forms to the Community Center at the start of the first five preseason sessions; payment may be made  in person by credit card or check.  

League Fee (Made Payable to: "Cleveland Heights Senior Hockey League"): 

New players who did not play in the League last season            $180  

Returning players who were in the League last season              $150  

Each League player must also pay the appropriate Ice Fee to the City of Cleveland Heights, as shown in the “Ice Fees” table in the Pick-Up Hockey section, below.


PICK-UP HOCKEY 

Open to Novice, Intermediate and Advanced players who are at least 18 years of age by December 31, 2011.  Helmets are required; face masks or half shields are strongly recommended.There is one session available:  Sundays at 9:30 pm - South Rink - Beginning Sunday, September 11, 2011
