4 Jul. '09. Back out at the Barboursville local park (soccer), the Internationalsfaced its friends from NJ, the TSF Academy Celtic, whom it has bested in thelast 3 meetings over the course of this past year by a combined score of7:1.  But, the TSF Academy Celticteam would avenge itself today. Similarly to GFA '91 Elite, TSF Celtic played very physical andattacked/countered with long-balls upfield, creating numerous scoringopportunities but Inter's usually strong defense stymied TSF on all attempts inthe 1st half in which they would take 5 shots on goal including a soft headerwhich Seth caught and a hard blast from about 22 yds. right which Seth layedout for a great photo-op finger-tip save near far post.  TSF Celtic also set up 6 corner kickswhich were unsuccessful and committed 10 fouls (including 2 offsides).   Inter managed 2-3 shots which were unsuccessful, and the halfended scoreless, 0-0.

In the 2nd half, TSF kicked off and continued its verticalplay upfield while holding Inter to just 2 shots on goal, including a shot by(?) which went awry after a free kick from Skylar near 25 yds. right into thebox, and after a nice cross from Vitalis near 20 yds left into the box, Ebo’sheader was caught by the GK.  Interalso setup 1 corner kick which was unsuccessful and committed 5 fouls(including a YC shown to Alex for a hard foul) while TSF committed 8 fouls(including 2 offsides and a YC shown to #10 for a hard foul).  The Celtic team created 4 shots on goaland setup 2 corners kicks which were all unsuccessful – except one.  After a foul by Inter near mid-fieldright side at the 10 min. mark, a long free kick was lofted into the box near5-7 yds. and a unmarked TSF player collected the ball and tapped in the easygoal to the left of Seth who was guarding the line, and the match ended later,1-0, TSF Academy Celtic.
