The Shooters are looking to recruit a couple of young defenders for the new season ahead. Please contact Roland Broughton on rolandbroughton1@yahoo.com or call him on 1391-750-7204.

We are mainly of British origin, and historically we have also had a number of players from USA. However, we do have players from Spain, Belgium, France, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Cameroon, Korea and Denmark.

Although we are renowned throughout Asia for our off the field antics, we do take our football seriously, and we have been the dominate team in the SIFL since the introduction of "real" football, when the league changed to 11-a-side in 2000/01. Previously it was small sided games on half a field with no offside!!

Our 8 SIFL Premier League titles, our 9 SIFL Cup victories, our 3 Hebiguchi Cup wins, and our 6 SIFL Tournament successes, are all SIFL records.

We are the only team in SIFL history to go a full season undefeated in both League and Cup games. A feat we achieved in 2000/2001. We are also the only team to win all league matches in a season, 2003/04.

On top of all this, we are the only team from China to ever win the prestigious Manila Nomads Tournament, a feat we have achieved in 2002, 2004 2007, and 2009. Our 4 Championships in Manila is also a record.

Finally, we are the only team in Asia to win 4 International Tournaments in 1 year. In 2004 we won the Bangkok 11's, Shanghai International 7's, Manila 6's and Phuket 7's....

So, as you can see, as well as having fun we also win a lot of trophies in the process!!

Welcome to the homepage of the Shanghai International Football League, Shanghai's premier football league. This amateur league was formed in 1995. Many players from many different countries have played in this league, and we like to think that it has already became one of the most competitive Expat Amateur leagues in Asia. Testament to that is when teams such as Shooters and Japan regularly win overseas/international tournaments.

Although this website has been constructed in the helping of the organisation of the league, we also hope that you enjoy our site, and that some of the information is of good use to you.
If you are looking for a team to play with, then click on the teams tag, and choose which team you think you will be most suited to. Alternatively, you can leave your contact details on the message board.

Media coverage

The League's results, fixtures and game reports are published weekly by Urbanatomy Media under that's Shanghai online magazine.
