1.     Treasurer’s report, Judy Arrington – Balance as of 12/31/11, $9146.98.  Have several outstanding invoices to pay.  We received $150 from BP for sponsorship.

2.     Concessions, Benjetta West, Elridge Guillory – Please try to arrive 5 minutes before your shift to help transitions.  Please let them know 24 hours before your shift if you cannot make it.

3.     Merchandise Sales

·         Tumblers, Kate Skol – We have sold 73 out of 100 and will be accepting orders until Tuesday, Jan 10^th.

·         T-shirts, Benjetta West – If you by 2 shirts, you get a “Drain Springs” shirt free.

·         School Sales, Heather Blackmar – Will be selling Tuesday and Wednesday during lunch.

4.     Home Game Half-Time Entertainment, Kate Skol – Please Support the Flairs by purchasing a ticket to their “Italian Dinner.”

·         Tuesday, January 24 vs. Brazoswood- FLAIRS, officer jazz performance

·         Tuesday, January 31 vs. Alvin – FLAIRS, whole team with pom

5.     Themes for Games, open discussion – Please try to participant in the Themes at the games.  Benjetta will send out reminders via email.

6.     Ideas for Banquet, Marla Lewis – She is talking with Las Brisa to have the banquet there.

Other items:

Champ Banners – Board members are discussing idea on fundraising to purchase Banners for previous year’s Champs.

 

7.  Don Wilkerson – Talked about wanting to spotlight senior players in the program. Players need to submit their profiles soon. Don also mentioned he would like to see more pictures on the website. Mentioned that at the end of the season sometimes the parents produced a book of pictures to be given to each player as a momento but we need more pictures.  For the website Don prefers to receive photos within 24 hours of the game but he will take them anytime.

Don also reminded that there is approximately $600 set aside for the Hall of Fame Trophy fund in the treasury.

 

Benjetta would like everyone to stand while the boys come out and are being announced.

 

Questioned was asked, if we have a home and visitor side?  Yes we do and we will start having visitors sit on that side of the gym.
