Atkinson County Baseball

UPDATE THANK YOU to the superintendent, Mr. Brown, and BOE for authorizing the completion of the Softball and Baseball dugouts, fencing, lights, and the Softball/Baseball concession stand. The fence and lighting contractors will soon begin working at the Football stadium. A $6000 covered batting cage, donated by the Dugout Club, has been erected. The batting cage donation is in addition to the thousands of dollars in labor and money already donated by the Dugout Club members to this project. THANK YOU DUGOUT CLUB for your generosity and efforts to boost our athletic program! Thank you to Ray Douglas for all of his efforts and time spent woking at the athletic complex. Thank you to Anthony Morris and his crew for their hard work in pouring the slabs for the dugouts. Thank you to David McDonald and his classes for their efforts as well. ****Thank you to all of the baseball players and parents who worked so hard to sod the baseball outfield. Thank you to the McClellan family for the use of your tractor. The players, parents, and coaches have now installed a sprinkler system on the baseball and softball fields, have sodded the outfield at the baseball facility, poured the slabs for the dugouts, and put up windscreen around the entire baseball field. ****Also, Thank you to Rep. Tommy Williams for having the Georgia Department of Corrections donate and install the outfield fence for baseball and softball AND pour the concrete footers for the football goalpost. THANK YOU to Robert Shaw and the Atkinson County Roads Department for their work in installing new clay. Again, THANK YOU to those in the Atkinson baseball family who have worked so hard and are getting the job done!
