Atkinson County Baseball

Congratulations to Cam Newmans and Jonathon Guthrie for being selected to play American Legion ball this summer. Both youngmen are very deserving of the honor. Newmans has been named the Region 1A Defensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All-Region for 2 consecutive years. Guthrie was named 1st Team All-Region in 2003 and Honorable Mention All-Region in 2004. They will miss most of Atkinson's summer league games to attend American Legion practices and games, but will play with Atkinson as their legion schedule permits.
