Washington Township Senators 35+

The Washington Township Senators began their title defense with a 15-5 beating of the Sewell Sharks at St. Augustine High School in Buena, NJ. John DiPietro went seven strong innings and allowed just five hits and two runs as the Nat offense got on track. The Senators offense produced up and down the lineup, with Mark Alessandrini (3 steals), Chris Lawrence, Frank Izzi (2 steals) and Jim Toth each collecting two hits. Jim McAllister picked up three RBIs, while Lawrence, Dale Amos (2 steals), Izzi, Miles Reader and Toth each had two RBIs.
