Washington Township Senators 35+

A nice win Sunday, as John DiPietro hurled a complete-game 8-hitter to lead the Nats over the tough Tabernacle Tigers 3-2. This is no small feat against an offense as formidable and deep as that of the Tigers. Rookie Rick Amos had his best day as a Senator, collecting three hits. And consecutive 0-2 singles by Mark Alessandrini, Chris Lawrence and Frank Izzi in the first set the tone for the game. The Senators defense was also steady, as no errors were committed. Next up, a visit to Bob Meyer Field for a battle against Phil Ball's 2-1 Voorhees Angels. Bill Alvaro is expected to have the starting nod for the Nats. Tentative lineup: 1. Alessandrini-CF
