John DiPietro was awarded the first-ever Senator Cy Young Award for his performance during the 2005 season. DiPietro, one of the top winners in Senator mound history, delivered a 6-1 record with a nifty 3.59 ERA. he fanned 40 batters in 50-1/3 innings of work, walking only nine.
