Posted by Wendy Claude on Mar 16 2009 at 05:00PM PDT

The Azalea Park Panthers is an Association in the Mid-Florida Conference, Division 2 ... This is commonly referred to as the "Local Level" and there are approximately 30 Associations in Mid-Florida.

Association boundaries are defined by the local high school zones.  Therefore, in order to participate in Azalea Park Panthers Pop Warner, you should live in the Colonial High School district. If you are not sure of what high school you are zoned for, please check out Orange County Public School's "School Assignment" link.  In addition, there are "open" high school zones; such as: Lake Nona High School, Oak Ridge High Shcool, East River High School, who may participate in the Pop Warner Association of their choice.

The Azalea Park Panthers are in the Southeast Region ... there are eight Pop Warner Regions geographically divided in over 42 states, including Hawaii and Alaska.

And all Associations are a part of National Pop Warner ... Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer & dance programs. Consisting of approximately 400,000 young people ranging from ages 5 to 15 years old, PWLS is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the United States.

Players compete with kids of similar age and size.

Pop Warner is the ONLY youth footballl program (local, regional and national) that sets and enforces a strict AGE & WEIGHT MATRIX that reduces the risk and reality of injuries.
