Mid-Florida Sunshine Classic Football - Saturday NOVEMBER 22nd. The Peewees did play Lyman at Winter Springs on Saturday 11-22-03. The first half was close. But Lyman wore our guys down during the second half. Hey, a very respectable showing against a regular season 8-0 team. Check out the Runner-Up Trophy at the A.P.P.’s Trophy presentation on December 6th! Sunshine Classic "Cheer-OFF" The girls looked great on Saturday 11-22-03 at Lake Howell High School. The Peewees did not place, but looked wonderful. Congratulations to the Jr. Midgets for placing 5th at the Sunshine Classic Cheer Competition!! Make sure to check out the Jr. Midget’s Sunshine Classic Trophy, on Saturday Dec. 6th. I want to say THANKS to the 3 teams and their families that participated in the post season Sunshine Classic. It is not easy to extend the season, add practice times, try to find playing fields and lights and they did it. I believe it helps the league to take that extra step to participate in these events. So I really appreciate the extra effort by those teams. Let me also say, thanks to the Jr. Midget and Midget Football teams, who would have gladly played post season, if the opportunity had been available. I know it was disappointing for those 2 teams, to plan on it and then have it changed, due to no fault of ours. Lesson learned from this year – plan on a very organized, established post-season bowl event that is earlier after the season ends and occurs faithfully year after year!
