A let down was waiting after the Cougar win vs. Valhalla Wednesday, but the team pulled through in a constant down pour to win 2-0 over Monte Vista. Goals by Freshman ALLIE BAILEY and SUMMER BLAND were all the Cougars needed as the defense led by DELCIE THANKACHAN, JANEL SANCHEZ, JOHANNA SHAFFER, and BECCA SANDERS denied any opportunity for Monte Vista to put together any threats. CARMEN URIBE and SUMMER BLAND combined for the shutout. Allie's shot was set up by LISA MIX's through ball, that Allie struck first touch into the far corner of the net. Goal Keeper Summer scored the first goal of her entire career on a PK, set up by COURTNEY CLEAVES take down in the box after dribbling through 3 Monte Vista defenders.
