Softball Game a Smash!!!

Posted by Ruben Costa on Jun 30 2003 at 05:00PM PDT
The Boys and Girls Club of Woonsocket Charity Softball Game held on June 21st was a great success. $625 was raised for the cause. The National Anthem was sung by Woonsocket's Local Entertainer, Noel A. Pincince, former Mayor Extradonaire, Charlie Baldelli served as the guest announcer, and Rick Methot (Capt. Costa's Cousin) served as the "Non Partial" Umpire. The Sentinel Cheerleaders, headed by Coach Dawn Castonguay, made their first ever appearance and were greated warmly which was certainly needed considering the chilly evening. Nice outfits by the way, You looked great!!! The Sent's Offense certainly challenged the Boys in Blue and put up fight but the local police outshooted the "O" and won the game in extra innings. The Sent's Defensive unit was hosed down by the City's Fire Unit despite a 3 run Homer in the 1st inning by Linebacker, Joe Rousseau. The Defense's fire was put out early but fun was had by all. The Sentinelos would like to thank the Local Police and Fire for helping out with the cause. The Boys and Girls Club of Woonsocket couldn't help but praise our organization!!! Way to go Sentinels!!! A great job helping out tomorrow's heroes!
