With a patch-work line-up and 4 missing players, the CoBALTS hung with the powerful Akron A's for 5 innings.
But blown hamstrings (Scott McVey), torn calf muscles (Wags), dislocated fingers (Todd Hiler), pinched nerves (Rocky), Jim Beam's revenge (Franky), torn knee ligaments (Mike Prosser), and pitching ace no-shows (KB) was too much to overcome.
CoBALTS stand at 2-2 and need to win Thursday's seeding round game to stay at the 3A Level.
The unprecedented rash of injuries has been hard to handle but the 'Balts who are left standing will make every effort to bring home a championship.
