Shannon Morgan came up LARGE again for the Cobalts in an unbelievable 9 inning, 9 strikeout shutout 1-0 Win over Yorkville in Game 3 of the AABC. Hats off to the Yorkville Team and their pitcher who fought tooth-and-nail in the "Titanic Struggle." Solid leather flashed by Doug Michelsen, RJ Niemer, and Aaron Schweitzer helped preserve the shutout. Offensive highlights came in the 9th when Aaron Schweitzer lead off with a hit and was moved to 3rd base on Steve Stigler's knock to right. Then the old double-steal brought home the winning run when Schweitzy found the plate with a tremendous slide around the tag at home. CoBALTS now stand at 27-10 on the season. Next up: Roselawn, 6:30 PM Friday night versus Stars (wear blue) Double-header if WIN.
