Cincinnati CoBALTS Baseball Club

The Cobalts advance to the AABC State Semis with a 3-2 Win over Yorkville. The tight game was highlighted by unbelievable defensive plays for both teams. For the Cobalts, outfielders Nick Frisch and Aaron Schweitzer robbed several extra-base hits. John Rubel was a "wall" behind the plate supporting the strong pitching performances from both Dan Reineke and winner Shannon Morgan. Offensively, the 'Balts started slow again. A few highlights were: Nick Frisch's two base hits. One that led to an exciting steal of home to plate. And the seventh inning rally to get the Win which was started by Joe Spriggs Monster's base hit, Bo's sac bunt, and John Rubel's solid "walk-off" base hit to end the game.
