Announcement
On a great day for baseball this past Sunday, the Cobalts split a double-header against the nationally ranked Evansville Outlaws (a tough 5-3 loss in game #1) winning Game #2 with a strong 4-1 performance.
TR O'Brien and Dan Reineke combined for the Win. Joe Spriggs (5-6, 2 doubles) and Doug Michelsen (3-3 with 2 RBI in Game 2) led the offense. Timely hitting from Bo Stineman, Frank Arnold, John Rubel, and Todd Hiler also contributed big.
But the really BIG story on the day was center fielder Nicko "Sheriff" Frisch. He single-handidly robbed the Outlaws of 6 extra base hits with SPECTACULAR plays in both games.
Cobalts now stand at 21-9 for the 2003 season.
