Haverstock handcuffs Sackville, Wildcats win extra-inning thriller

Congratulations to Halifax Pelham Canadians pitcher Mark Haverstock, who recorded the first no-hitter in league play in five years tonight as his team blanked the Sackville Chiefs 11-0. Haverstock struck out seven and walked two to earn the victory. Craig Higgins of the Truro Bearcats had the last no-hitter prior to tonight, a 10-1 win over the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry on Aug. 2, 2001.
