Truro's Nial Hughes and Mark Stiner combined to hold Kentville to just four hits but it still took a Matt Mayo grand slam in the top of the nineth off Kevin Daurie (0-1) to steal the victory away form the Wildcats. Four of Kentville's eleven runs were scored on bases-loaded walks while a fifth scored when Mike Lockhart plated a run by being hit by a pitch with the bases full. Hughes left the game after giving up eight runs on three hits through the first four innings. Stiner managed to one-hit Kentville the rest of the way but still allowed three runs.
