Halifax takes opener
Barrett Bellefontaine threw a complete-game four-hitter and struck out 10 as the Halifax Pelham Canadians came away with a 6-1 victory in Game 1 of the league championship series.
Game 2 is Saturday at Memorial Park in Kentville at 7 p.m.
