The Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians rode the big inning and batted around twice in defeating the Sydney Sooners, 14-1 in 7 innings on Sunday at Mainland Common. Jake Pelham had a hot stick with a triple, three singles and 3RBI while Josh Pelham chipped in three singles and 2RBI. Pat Gilbert added three singles with Shawn Walsh singling twice knocking in 3. Everyone in the Halifax lineup got in the hit parade with Brandon Devlin and Paul Davie rifling a pair of singles each. Craig Field, was the beneficiary of the run support as he fired 5 solid innings allowing 6 singles before Kyle Donovan mopped up with 2 scoreless innings.
Kentville and Dartmouth was postponed due to rain.
