Joe MacPherson's bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth capped the comeback for the Truro Bearcats in a 6-5 win over the Halifax Pelham Canadians in Game 2 of their best-of-seven semifinal series tonight at the TAAC Grounds in Truro. The series is tied at a game apiece.
Halifax led 5-1 in the fifth inning. Billy MacKenzie's three-run homer pulled Truro to within one, and J.P. Wood tied it on a solo shot in the eighth.
John Chapman picked up the win in relief of starter Craig Higgins. Barrett Bellefontaine took the loss in relief of starter Steve Ivey.
Game 3 goes Thursday at the Mainland Common in Halifax at 7:30 p.m.
