Halifax avoids elimination; Dartmouth evens series with Kentville
Barrett Bellefontaine tossed a complete-game three-hitter as the Halifax Pelham Canadians avoided being swept out of the playoffs by the Truro Bearcats with a 6-3 decision tonight at the TAAC Grounds in Truro. Jay Turple doubled twice for the winners, who now trail 3-1 in the best-of-seven semifinal series and will host Game 5 on Saturday at the Mainland Common at 7 p.m.

At Memorial Park in Kentville, the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry evened their best-of-seven semi with the Wildcats at 2-2 with a 3-2 victory tonight. Joel Irvine doubled twice and drove in a run for the Dry, who will host Game 5 on Friday night at Beazley Field at 7:30 p.m.
