Dartmouth Moosehead Dry

Thanks to an eight-run sixth inning that led the Dry to 12-6 win over the Yarmouth Gateways, Dartmouth clinched the fourth and final playoff spot. Kentville's 19-1 thrashing of the Truro Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Bearcats gave the Wildcats a lock on first place and a chance for last year's finalists to meet up in the first round of the playoffs. Kentville took the season series 4-2. The other series will pit Halifax, who are in the playoffs for the first time since 1992, against Truro who were edged out by Dartmouth in the first round of last year's playoffs. Home field advantage is still up for grabs with Halifax having a one game lead on Truro with both teams having one game left to play.
