Dartmouth Moosehead Dry

What a game, what a finish. Kevin Matheson took an 0-2 Trevor Zwaan offering deep for the walk-off homer than would bring the Championship home to Truro for the first time ever to the elation of the over 500 Truro fans on hand. It looked as though Dartmouth were going to force a game seven. The Dry broke up a scoreless tie in the seventh with a pair of runs and plated another in the eighth to take a 3-0 lead. In the bottom of the eighth, highlighted by a Matheson two-run single, Truro stormed back to take a 4-3 edge. Down to their final strike twice with throngs of Truro hopefuls on their feet, Dartmouth managed to put something together that culminated in a Joel Irvine game-tying single. Then in the bottom of the tenth, Matheson brought them to their feet in celebration of their first Senior League crown with his second homer of the finals. Kelly Spencer pikced up the victory going the distance.
