Canadians bow out in quarterfinal

The Halifax Pelham Canadians dropped an 8-3 decision to the Windsor Stars of Ontario tonight in quarterfinal action at Beazley Field at the 2009 Canadian senior baseball championship.

Windsor advances to play Team Quebec in one semifinal. The other semi pits the St. John's WINMAR Capitals of Newfoundland and Labrador against the Fort Saskatchewan Athletics of Alberta. St. John's ousted the Chatham Ironmen (New Brunswick 2) 12-2 in quarterfinal play tonight at the Mainland Common.

Sunday's schedule is subject to change with the impending storm. Baseball Canada is expected to post an update at www.baseball.ca and www.seniorbaseball09.ca, by 7 a.m., Sunday.
