On the shoulders of their double-header sweep of the Yarmout Winner's World Gateways, the Dry become the first team this season to secure a playoff spot. With the wins, Dartmouth also extended their lead on first place to three games over Kentville and Halifax. In game one, Dartmouth were lead by the strong pitching performance of Trevor Zwaan en route to a 5-2 win. Game two saw another Dry pitcher Larry Hood, pitching in with a strong outing shutting down the Gateways offense in a 7-0 victory. Yarmouth's two losses lowered magic numbers around the league by two. Halifax's magic number is 3 with Kentville and Truro's number dropping to 4.
