The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry clinched a berth in the semifinals today and will play for a medal at the Canadian senior championship in Moncton on Sunday.
Dartmouth beat the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets 7-5 in a morning game to secure first place in its pool. The Dry lost 8-7 to the St. John's Capitals of Newfoundland in what was, for Dartmouth, a meaningless game.
Dartmouth plays either Etobicoke, Ont., or Quebec today at 12:30 p.m. A win puts the Dry in the gold-medal game at 7 p.m. A loss, and Dartmouth battles for bronze at 3:30 p.m.
