Sheldon MacDonald picked up his tenth win of the season Saturday and Jason Adams added a homerun and two singles as Halifax clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 1992 with a 6-2 victory over the Yarmouth Gateways. Kentville also clinched on Saturday with their 19-9 win over Sydney coupled with Halifax's win over Yarmouth. Kevin Daurie spotted with a 9-2 lead after four innings, held on to earn his second win of the season and 51st of his carreer wihile Kevin Miller lead the 24 hit attack with four singles and four RBI. Truro became the third team this weekend to gain a playoff birth courtesy of Halifax defeating Yarmouth 10-3 on Sunday.
