Truro Bearcats

Jason Bailey and Nial Hughes are wrapped up in a pitching duel, before the rains stopped action on Sunday. Neither pitcher had walked a batter until Hughes walked the first two batters of the fifth. Hughes helped his own cause in the inning by picking off the runner at first and getting defensive help when a Dartmouth runner was thrown out trying to take third on a wild pitch. Once the rains cleared, the first batter that Dartmouth's new pitcher Trevor Zwaan faced, Winston Brown, hit a two run blast that gave Truro a lead that they would never relinquish. Brown tallied another when he crossed the plate in the seventh to account for all of Truro's scoring. Kelly Spencer picked up the save.
