Kentville Edges Yarmouth in 17 Inning Thriller

Mike Lockhart hit a 2-run double in the top of the 17th inning to put Kentville ahead to stay in the longest Senior League game of the season. Matt Pearl, Luke Smith and Kevin Miller all chipped in with three singles and a double each for the Wildcats while the Gateways had a single, double and triple from Julian Dease and a single and double each from Curtis Falls and Andrew Williams. After blowing the save attempt, Curtis Falls, who came on to pitch in the eighth settled down to shutout Kentville until he gave way to Clyde Landry in the sixteenth. Kevin Daurie, Matt Pearl, and Alex Sabean combined to shutout Yarmouth from the seventh to the seventeenth with Sabean picking up the win.
