Sydney Sooners catcher Sean Ferguson is in hospital after suffering a heart-related medical emergency on ThursdayThe 23-year-old’s condition wasn’t known Thursday night. Sooners head coach Jim (Rico) McEachern said “it’s a serious medical issue Sean had and the club wants to offer him whatever support we can. There were four other members of the club with him when it happened and we’re very thankful that that was the case…We just wish him the best and we’re thinking of him and his family.” In light of the medical emergency, the Sooners’ weekend road trip to play the Kentville Wildcats has been postponed.
