Veteran right-hander Mark Haverstock has been chosen as the Cleve’s Source for Sports Player of the Week in the NSSBL. Haverstock was the main reason for the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians picking up two victories in their 3-game series with the Sydney Sooners this past weekend in Sydney. Haverstock threw a complete game, 5-hit shutout on Friday evening and then quieted the Sooners’ bats after an 8-run outburst in the 7^th inning of the second game, pitching the last two innings. He picked up his second mound win when his teammates scored 2 runs in the 9^th for a 15-14 win.
