Shenandoah Wins Opening Day & Coaching Staff Grows Strong

Shenandoah gets a big opening day win over the Elkton blue Sox to blast into the 2002 Rockingham County Baseball League. Shenandoah had played Elkton last year in an exhibition game that resulted in Elkton winning by a run in extra innings. Shenandoah's coaching staff has just expanded bring in veteran coach Nate Strickler from Luray to be the teams head coach. Nate has had several years of coaching experience with the Luray High School and in various stages of the Little League system. Bringing Nate in to take on the responsibilty of head coach will take the Indians up to the next level for our ball club. Todd Stroupe(long time Indians coach who helped to build the foundation for our team), Mike Price, Greg Austin and Brian Hendick also have had many years of coaching in the Little League system will round out the rest of the Indians staff for our 2002 season.
