KENTON LEADS WAY AS BOYS, GIRLS WRAP UP AT STATES

Senior captain Lindsay Kenton capped her four-year career in style, finishing as the team's top runner with a 22:14 -- her best time ever at Killens Pond -- helping the girls to a sixth place finish out of 24 teams in the Division II state championship Saturday.
Jackie Creasey, Erica Godwin, Marissa McDonnell and Tricia Gerken each ran their Killens best to close out the MHS scorers. Jessica FitzPatrick and Tahnisha Colson rounded out the varsity finishers with solid times.
Andrew Meade ran a strong 18:52 to lead the boys, who finished 22nd. Robert Calhoun broke 20 and Matt Esposito followed closely with his Killens-best. Henry Wilson, James Starnes, Logan Moreau and Andre Purnell rounded out the team's finishers.
