Milford High School Cross Country

The Blooms and some MHSCCers got together for a little 5K action at Saturday's Hog Jog in Bridgeville for the Apple-Scrapple Festival. Amy Mallamo took home the big trophy as the top female in 22:26, while Keith Short took 4th overall with a solid 19:01. Justin Bloom scored a sixth-place with a 20:33, just ahead of Bloomie's 10th-place 21:11. (Hey, Justin, I saw you all the way. Good thing I felt a bit rougher than you looked. :) ) Bloom's wife, Shelly, scored a medal, cruising along at 30:29, too. Justin also won some Twizzlers, which were gone by the end of the festival, while Keith and Mallamo took home some "stylish" mugs. Special thanks to the Seaford CCers who presented the MHSCCers with a case of gatorade. We'll put it on ice for Wednesday's home meet.
