Freeport Yellow Jackets

ROSTRAVER - Special Report to Pa Hockey provided by Montour Hockey Montour defeated Thomas Jefferson by the score of 5-2 tonight at Rostraver Ice Garden. Montour jumped out to an early 3-0 first period lead behind 2 goals scored by Zach Perry which were both assisted by Mario Panucci. Montour senior Dan Shiwarski assisted on Perry's second goal. Jeff Peters scored a big goal to put Montour ahead 3-0 late in the first period. Montour's Joe Clarke quickly answered Gary Bucci's 2nd period goal, making it a 4-1 lead for Montour in the third period off a nice pass from Chad Talotta. Bucci would later score on a controversial goal for TJ in the third to cut the Montour lead to 4-2. However, Chad Talotta would give Ross Polk a nice pass as they entered the Thomas Jefferson zone with two minutes to play. Polk took the pass and slapped a nice shot from the top of the faceoff circle for Montour's fifth goal of the game. Montour looks to extend its 3 game winning streak to 4 when they play rival Moon next Monday, November 29th at the Island Sports Center. Thomas Jefferson will next play at home versus South Park on Monday, November 29th at the Rostraver Ice Garden.
