Bronze Level Coaches Certification Course Friday December 20th On Friday December 20th USA Wrestling CT will be hosting a bronze level certification clinic from 7:00PM to 10:00 PM at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center. The Bronze level is a comprehensive education program for wrestling coaches who are committed to expanding their knowledge in the art and science of the coaching of wrestling. It is the first of a three part advanced coaching education program with the ensuing two parts being Silver and Gold level certification. It consists of a six hour clinic which costs $60 and includes USA Wrestling’s Coaches Guide to Excellence. A Certificate of Bronze certification, a Bronze level certified NCEP Coaches card, and a Bronze level Coaches polo is issued upon successful completion. Sections to be covered: Philosophy of Coaching, Risk Management, Effective Teaching Program Development Psychology of Coaching Developing Wrestling Skills Training & Nutrition Sports Medicine Cost: All participants must purchase the book to become certified $30.00 - Tuition Fees $30.00 – Book $60.00 - Total for the Clinic All people working to obtain certification through NCEP must hold a valid USAW Coaches card. Cards will be sold at the clinic. ($35) Time Schedule: Registration 9:30 a.m. Clinic Starts 10:00 a.m. Break at Noon for lunch Afternoon Class 1:00 p.m. Test 5:30 p.m. Each individual will receive a Bronze Coaches card, Bronze Certification to signify completion of the Bronze level of the National Coaches Education Program and a Bronze Certified Coaches shirt to wear at USA Wrestling Sanctioned Meets. The clinic is limited to the first 30 participants that pre-register. Competitor & Athlete Ø ALL Connecticut wrestlers & coaches are requested to apply for their membership through their club directors. 1. Complete membership information including name, mailing address with zip code and phone number is mandatory. 2. All card fee’s, both competitor and coach are $36/card except in the case of siblings. When more than one competitor from a family signs-up additional cards cost only $31. This does not apply to coach’s memberships. I.e. one (1) coach and two (2) competitor memberships from the same family costs $36 + $36 +$31 = $103. 3. Club Directors or their designee are to collect the membership fee’s from each wrestler and send a single check for the group of cards that they are processing. This not only reduces bank charges on our end but aides the accounting process for each club by having a record of how many cards have been paid for. 4. Insurance claim procedures can be found on the back of each membership card along with our Website address and State Chairman contact information. 5. Make checks payable to Roger Moss. He will mail one check to CTUSAW 6. The larger portion of the membership card MUST BE SIGNED AND GIVEN TO COACH MOSS. 7. Once a card has been assigned to an individual it’s membership cannot be assigned to someone else. Absolutely NO REFUNDS.
