Minutemen Youth Wrestling

Who- any Connecticut wrestler born in 1989 and 1990 Start / End Date- Week of Dec. 2, 2002 – Mid March 2003 Where- 3 Regional training sites; Montville, South Windsor and Southington The program- No try-outs, open to any Connecticut USA Wrestling current member. Participation on this team should supplement any team or club that you are, or will presently be, on. There will be once-a-week practices together during the week with weekend competition / practice. This program is designed for those wrestlers who want to experience a heightened level of competition to go along with a group of practice partners and coaches that you otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance to work-out with. You should expect a team function a minimum of 2 weekends per month. The Team fee of $100 will include all costs associated with 3 out-of-state tournaments and 3 dual meets. This includes transportation, registration fee’s and hotels as necessary, everything except for meals. Also included in the Team fee will be a state uniform consisting of singlet, short and shirt. Registration- Open Team registration will begin immediately and close on Dec. 2, 2002. Anyone wishing to join the Team after that point will only be able to do so if we haven’t reached our team size limit. To register mail a $100 check made payable to “USAWCT” to CT Schoolboy Team, 22 Chapel Rd, South Windsor, CT 06074. Include the following information- wrestlers name, dob, mailing address, phone, email address and USA Card number. Add $30 if you do not have a card and one will be provided to you. All registrations must be postmarked no later than 12/2/02. Summary- P Satellite practice locations P 3 tournament competitions in the (NY, NJ, PA) area P 3 dual meet vs state/club teams from NY, NJ, PA & MA P Plus- two (2) “select” competitions. Wrestle-off’s or a qualifying tournament will be required to determine who participates in these two (2) events. All teams will be limited to the number of eligible participants, total and by weight. There will be an additional fee beyond the Team fee that will cover these two (2) select events.
