Twenty members of the Minutemen traveled to Southington on Sunday, February 10th to compete in a tournament and came away with great results. The Minutemen are preparing for the upcoming State Youth Tournament which will take place in two weeks.
The results were: Mighty Mite; Matthew Bouchard 5th place, Bantams; JP Gorneault 2nd, Matt Wojciechowski 3rd, Isaac Myers 2nd, Midgets; Anthony Myers 2nd, Jack Hamel 2nd, Connor Ruszczyk 4th, Cody Ruszczyk 4th, Mike Patterson 2nd, Jared Zima 4th and Nick Zuk 1st (3 pins), Novice; Mike Davila 4th, Jimmy Bourgoin 2nd, Matthew Cote 2nd, Richie Schlichting 1st, Sean Sullivan 1st, Colin Cunningham 1st, Nick Mangiafico 2nd, Jordan Zima 2nd and Andrew Alessi 1st.
Coach Moss said, "The Middle School wrestlers did an outstanding job and wrestled really well. Their middle school season is over so now they get ready to compete in Bristol to qualify for the Kids State Tournament. I expect them all to do very well."
