In Thursday’s non-league match, the visiting Whiteland Warriors basketball team scored a close 67-62 win over the Shelbyville Golden Bears.
The Warriors (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against Franklin Community (Franklin, IN). The Grizzly Cubs go into the Mid-State outing with a 8-10 record. In their last outing, Franklin Community was tipped by Columbus North (Columbus, IN), 50-13, in a non-league outing.
The Golden Bears now hold a 3-17 record. They play next when they host Delta for a Hoosier Heritage outing on Saturday, January 25. Shelbyville will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 55-51 non-league loss to Jay County (Portland, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 3-14.
