Shelbyville found it tough going at Class 3A No. 5-ranked Hamilton Heights Friday in the second semifinal game of Sectional 27.
The Golden Bears took an early lead but eventually struggled to keep up with the Lady Huskies. A 33-17 halftime lead grew to 55-27 after three quarters, and the hosts rolled to a 68-45 victory, setting up the sectional final tonight against No. 2 Mount Vernon.
Chelsey Skipton led Shelbyville (5-16) with 20 points. Caitlin Mills finished with seven.
Jessica Carr had 13 points for Hamilton Heights (18-2), winners of 15 in a row. Libby Ogden and Maddie Herr each had nine, and Dakota Weatherford and Caitlin Bischoff each contributed eight
