We encourage all newcomers to La Mirada High School to try out Cross Country—we promise you it's an awesome experience! Freshman or Senior, fast or slow, each runner participates in every race. The members of the team are always seeking new athletes to join the fun! Check out this website. Then, ask members of the team to describe the rewards that come with running cross country.
La Mirada's Cross Country Teams have a long-standing tradition of success. Last years girl's team was Suburban League Champs AGAIN and advanced to CIF competition for the 19th consecutive year. The boys team finished in 2nd place and also advanced to CIF.
There are no team cuts in cross country. If you show the effort, you make the team. That means that EVERYBODY competes on race day! Hurry and act soon, we train all the way until the end of October. Join now and be a part of a La Mirada team with a winning tradition.
