Pacers Squeek Out a 1-1 Tie with Peobody

Posted by Dale Dubois on Oct 10 2001 at 05:00PM PDT
The Pacers showed up in Peobody with 10 players (AGAIN!) to play the Spartans. Luckily Bruce showed up fashionably late to make it 11 at the start of the game. The Spartans would score first early on with a shot from 30 yards out that caught Chris Cloutier by surprise. The Pacers would play strong following this goal getting many chances to tie the score. It would be in the second half as Scott Sharby would crank a shot from 20 yards that would beat the keeper to his left. Both sides would try and break the tie through the remaining minutes with no success. Peobody would plink a ball off the side post with an open net and Bertie would come up just short as the game would end in a 1-1 tie. The Pacers take on the other Peobody team this weekend on home ice. The Pacers will be looking for a win to boost them up in the standings looking to make the playoffs. Looking at the remaining schedule, the Pacers have a good chance of winning their remaining 4 games. Peobody at home should be a win, Billerica is a win, Lowell has serious trouble on the road and should be a win, and We can beat Hollis. This is provided that we start with at least eleven players. That is a hint. Game is at Legacy at 9 AM that means show up at 8:45 at the latest!!
